Travel has made the world a global village. But not everyone benefits. As one of the most elementary acts of humanity, we think hospitality has untapped potential as a force for good. So, we’re harnessing that potential, redressing the imbalances of the modern hospitality industry by finding ways for more people to benefit from the business of travel.

The way it works is simple.

We’ve committed to donating $1 of every booking made on SignatureHotels.com to our partner charities, who work to improve the lives of people in real need both in our own neighbourhoods and around the world. Each hotel signed with Signature donates $0.50 per booking, which is generously matched by our commercial partners to make a minimum $1 donation per booking. Our employees are also encouraged to opt in to a Give-As-You-Earn scheme, and we offer an optional paid day off per year for volunteering with our partner charities or with a charity an employee is personally supporting.

Every booking gives back

Participating hotels offer a minimum number of apprenticeships per year for disadvantaged young people in their community, giving them the opportunity to pursue a career in hospitality.

Every room sponsors a child

A proportion of the revenue from every room (or room category) at participating hotels sponsors the education of a child or young person living in poverty in the developing world or for women empowerment.

Fairtrade procurement

Participating hotels commit to a Fairtrade purchasing policy, ensuring items like bedlinen, cotton towels, toiletries and minibar items are certified Fairtrade.

Every booking is a new start

Participating hotels commit to awarding at least 50% of product or service contracts to female entrepreneurs, and are encouraged to act as ‘showrooms’ for items like handmade blankets or art in public areas, giving guests the opportunity to buy them during their stay.
